Kenvale’s Commercial
Cookery Stream courses are designed for students who would like to
enter the world of professional chefing and at the same time are
interested in managing their own business and/or
kitchen.
Within the Commercial
Cookery Stream, our most common program is the combined Certificate
III (Commercial Cookery)/ Diploma of Hospitality. This standard
program takes two years to be completed as full time study. The
course has the following characteristics:
- Contact hours are 2 ½ to
3 days maximum.
- Lectures and practical
sessions are held between 8.30 am (earliest) and 5.30pm
(latest).
- The academic year is
divided into 2 semesters (parallel to University of New South Wales
timetable).
- Each semester consists
of 16 weeks.
- All students carry out
an industry placement for 20- 25 hours per week in addition to
their College contact hours.
