How to Apply for International Students

oseas_applying.jpgKenvale College has one yearly intake in February. Students wanting to apply to the College are encouraged to do so as early as June of the previous year.

The application process includes an application assessment and an interview. Acceptance is based upon:

1. Academic performance

  • Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent is required
  • An ATAR score is not required but an average to above average academic standing is preferred.

2. Interview (granted to successful applicants)

The interview assesses: 

  • Personal presentation and communication skills
  • Genuine passion and industry experience
  • Service attitude

3. English language proficiency

Evidence of English proficiency should be submitted with the application form. The minimum acceptance standards for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) are as follows:  

IELTS General    6.0   (written 6.0; speaking 6.0)
IELTS Academic 5.5   (written 5.0; speaking 6.0)

Note: IELTS must be undertaken no more than 2 years prior to application.

4. Acceptance of offer

Successful applicants will be notified in writing. Applicants need to secure their enrolment by sending the relevant forms together with their non-refundable deposit fee. 

Please refer to www.immi.gov.au for visa application procedures.  Students are not required to pay the enrolment fee until after their visa has been granted.
