Applying
for a student Visa
Students wanting to
study in Australia need to apply for a student (temporary) visa in
their country of origin after they have received a
letter of offer or Confirmation of Enrolment.
For more details on the
type of visa and assessment level please refer to www.immi.gov.au/students. As visa
applications may take some time to process, applicants are advised
to check their visa requirements at the time of
application.
Attendance
Students must maintain
full time enrolment in the course and satisfy all course
requirements. An eighty percent attendance record is also required.
If the student fails to satisfy course requirements, the student’s
visa may be cancelled.
Changing
Education Provider
Students who wish to
transfer to another provider within the first 6 months of study
must be granted permission and a letter of release from the Head of
Studies and Admissions.
Overseas
Student Health Cover
All
international students are required to have Overseas Student Health
Cover (OSHC) for the duration of their study visa in
Australia.
Kenvale organises OSHC
on behalf of the students prior to their arrival in
Australia.
Students
under the age of 18
International students
under the age of 18 years must have appropriate accommodation
arrangements while in Australia, i.e. .living with parent/s, a
legal custodian, a relative over 21 who has been nominated by their
parent/s or guardian, or other accommodation approved by the
College.
Recognition
of Prior Learning (RPL)
Kenvale
College welcomes applicants who have prior educational experience
and recognises qualifications from other tertiary level
institutions.
Course credit is
exemption from enrolment in a particular subject as a result of
previous study (Credit Transfer) or experience held (RPL). An
administration fee of $75 applies per subject.
