Established
in 1971, Kenvale is the first Australian hospitality College to
gain government and industry recognition. Since its foundation,
Kenvale has been awarded numerous industry and education excellence
awards. To date Kenvale remains one of the leading hospitality
education providers in Australia.
Kenvale offers a variety of
courses in Hospitality and Event Management. The duration of the
courses vary from six months (Certificate II in Hospitality) to two
years (Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Event Management/
Certificate III Commercial Cookery). Kenvale offers both full and
part-time courses.
Kenvale’s teaching staff offers a
unique educational experience; being highly experienced in the
industry, Kenvale’s lecturers incorporate both practical and
professional expertise with academic knowledge.
Kenvale students are placed in the
industry from day one. Students work an average of 20 hours per
week making them highly sought after upon graduation. Kenvale’s
industry partners include Novotel Darling Harbour, Avillion Hotel,
Sir Stamford Circular Quay, Sofitel Wentworth, Sangri-La Hotel,
Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and many more.
To date Kenvale has a 100%
employment record. Kenvale’s graduates have moved to many different
areas within the industry such as human resources, front office,
events, food and beverage, concierge, chef, and all areas of
management and training.
Kenvale College life combines both
academic and professional training with many other social and
volunteer activities. Kenvale students participate in an annual
relief volunteer program either in Australia or overseas. Kenvale
students have carried out overseas projects in Tonga, Fiji, The
Philippines, and New Zealand. In Australia Kenvale has been
involved in projects with indigenous youth both in Dubbo and Wagga
Wagga.
Kenvale is located in Randwick, in
the eastern suburbs of Sydney and it is easily accessible through
public transport. Being 15 minutes from Sydney CBD and at walking
distance from Coogee Beach, make Kenvale an attractive location for
