Kenvale College
was established in 1971.
It was one of the first
Colleges to introduce courses that meet the tourism and hospitality
industry demands for professional education and
training.
In 1989, Kenvale’s
course was among the first to gain recognition by the industry. In
1992, the Diploma course received accreditation at management level
and was upgraded to Advanced Diploma in 1995 by relevant industry
and government review panels.
During its history,
Kenvale College has been awarded with the NSW Tourism Awards for
Excellence in Industry Education. It has been a Finalist in both
the Awards of the Decade for Excellence in Industry Education, and
the Mitre 10 Training Provider of the Year.
Kenvale College
celebrated its 25th anniversary with Mr Juan Antonio Samaranch,
then President of the International Olympic Committee as guest of
honour.
The Honourable Tony
Abbot, then the Minister for Employment, Workplace Relations and
Small Business officially opened the state-of-the-art Academic
Building of the College in March 2001.
Kenvale College continues to grow
in stature as an educational institution, keeping its boutique
image. Details of its history show how the College keeps
up with the demands of the hospitality, events and tourism
industry.
